kitties
short short short update: the con was good, i am a bad busy jerk who didn't get to hang out with his non-comics toronto friends (but i saw some of them at least), i won the Shuster award (so thanks to everyone who voted), and i am now nominated (twice!) in the British comics awards, the Eagles, and you can vote for me online. (nominated for "favourite writer/artist" and "favourite original graphic novel").

Congratulations on the award won, and even more so for making it onto such a shortsighted mainstream heavy list. I have to admit, having to chose David Mack as my favorite painter really felt like scraping the bottom of the barrel.

I voted for you in the Eagles, but jesus were some of the other categories painfull. I think I left like 75% of them blank.
I suppose it's good that people like you are being included with all the typical mainstream shit, it suggests you're breaking through?
Some of the choices were so bad though, Wolverine? Ultimates? Ugghh.

TWO Mark Millar stories up for "best short story" was pushing it a bit, i think. Especially when there's only three entries per category.

Congrats on your award win.

Question: You said you'll be sending the free comic day comic with mail orders of Scott Pilgrim 3, but what I'm really after is one those snazzy buttons. Is there any way of getting a button outside of driving from Ottawa to Toronto?

I think I have enough of them to send them with orders.

I'm gonna do a poll right now and see how many people are hoping to order directly from me...
