You won't care about this post
Kupek is my band, or my musical alias, or whatever. A whole bunch of Kupek songs have been available on my website for the past year or so, but I just formally added a Creative Commons license to that page. Mostly because I realized I could. Also, I made zips of the albums, so you can download all the songs at once instead of having to click on one, then click on the next one, etc, etc. It's very convenient.

I've been occasionally working on a new Kupek album. It's been "almost finished" for months now. I have one more song to do, and some little things, and maybe I will get some people to sing some parts, and I need to get John to do me some cover art, and then I'll hopefully put the damn thing online. My target date for this has been May, and it's still possible that I'll make it.

i just want to know where in the hell you came up with the song invalid. if it's a cover, i'm not as impressed, but if you wrote it, it's one of the more fucked up songs i've ever heard. also i love it.

also i've had an album "almost done" for like 9 years. one day i'll actually make it happen.

This may be a stupid and/or annoying question, but will any of your songs be featured in the film?

If not, what will?
If so, what else will?
I know it's like super early, but thing's are surely happening.

It is too early.
Edgar and I have traded songs for several years and we consolidated the list down to our favourites, but I don't know what will end up in the film.

I don't expect to do much/anything musically for the film, but some of the song snippets from the books may be fleshed out by real musicians.

I was really hoping the songs from the books would be in the movie. You even provided the chords to go along with it! And I'd be really happy if Kupek was in it too....Imagine. Scott Pilgrim, OST. Exciting stuff, sir.

I finally actually finished a song the other day. I have about 12 other songs that only have one verse and/or chorus written for each. Writing songs is getting harder.

Each sunday I've been wanting to do a muxtape with some Kupek stuff for the whitechapel thing. Now I know you won't mind.

As I don't think its possible for me to make a mix without Desolay, Its All in Your Head, I'm done, Solitary Song, or Antartic Song making it in.

Yeah I realize that's a lot of stuff. My friends always give me flack for it. Because they wait for one of em to pop up. But they're just so good. No matter what my mood the songs have a certain message to go with it.

Ha... The day after I finally got around to downloading them all individually! Thanks for giving all this stuff away. I like your music almost as much as your comics. Bullshit Kid is still my favorite, though there's a lot here I haven't had time to listen to yet.

I just read this message. I have been at my parents' house and installing some ridiculous project at the Design Exchange. Two weeks in Toronto = unheard of. I am on fake summer vacation back in London starting in 5 hours. The summer vacation is fake because I am writing a 'thesis.'

But yes, I would still enjoy doing that cover at some point. Just send me an e-mail if I don't seem to be using LiveJournal.
