A charmed life

kitties
I probably shouldn't tell you this, but yesterday I finished another draft of the Scott Pilgrim Volume 5 script. For the first time, it feels right, so soon I will try and turn it into comics as fast as I possibly can. Meanwhile, con season is about to begin, among other things. Anyway, my goal is to have the book out for the December Holiday Season. Wish me luck!!

Here are some sketchbook scans to keep you entertained.

EDIT: Oh, by the way, someone from the UK is filling my earlier request, but thank you for all the offers. I got way more than I expected. If I ever need anything else from the UK, I will take some of you up on those offers.

While someone's on it, can they fix the grammar of 'O'Malley once told in an interview' too? Please?

Y'know, the Great Thing About Wikipedia is that you can go on there and correct stupid things like that all by yourself.

I'd do it myself, but it's UN-ETHICAL to edit one's own Wikipedia page, they say.

You and your logic.

You know, that whole paragraph is actually pretty nonsensical. Nudge, nudge.

This is why you get fans - to do you internet bidding.

Looks like someone got there and did a pretty good job after my minor changes though. It's now totally like an entry for a rock star. Only with more references to comics.

That sprite cat has been bugging me for like, hours.

Is it from Chrono Trigger? This is like very important to me.

ALSO: Man, my new goal in life is to do something noteworthy enough that my mom tries to look for me on wikipedia.

Yeah, seriously. My mom googles me. It's disturbing.

The cat is from Chrono Trigger. Correct.

I am going to feel a little sad all day, because I was able to recognize the sprite cat from a thirteen-year-old Super Nintendo game.

What a wasted youth. Our generation is certainly doomed.

Couldn't your mom upload a better photo of you ? I guess she has one.

Is that Magus'cat from when he was a child (and was called Janus)?

The only thing less ethical than editing your own wikipedia page is having your mother do it.

That got me thinking. I never thought to look for my name on wikipedia before. Turns out I am listed as a guest at Project A-Kon (an anime convention in Dallas, TX) but my name there is linked to a boxer with my name. So... apparently, people will now think that 1962 WBA Light Welterweight Champion Eddie Perkins was a guest at an anime con 2002 - 2005.

Wikipedia can be funny sometimes.

Oh my goodness! heehee That's a funny, but i guess unfortunate, picture.
Oh my. I'll try to not decipher anything from the sketches.

But yay!

There's only one image of you in the Wikimedia commons image file and that's it. We can't just take any image of you from the Web, like that and put it up in Wikipedia. It has to be a pic that's clearly in the public domain or a pic with a creative commons licence (or something like that) so that we won't trample the copyright of some photographer (amateur or pro) who doesn't like to get their copyright trampled.

The ideal would be to put up your favorite pic (get friends to vote) on Flickr and put clearly in the commentary text or elsewhere that you're releasing that particular pic under a creative commons licence or some other, then anybody else can copy it to Wikipedia, citing the type of release you chose.

Don't worry about mentioning the script. They were saying the exact same thing at the Oni panel at NYCC today.

"I probably shouldn't do this, but who wants me to read to you from the Scott Pilgrim 5 script?"

And then he didn't.
