al fresco

COMIC FOUNDRY (a new magazine) interviewed me for their first issue, and this is one of the Vol 4 clips I gave them for the layout. From page... 24... or something like that? It's from the first chapter in the book. Chapter 19.

Wow really, that's a lot of food. Also wherever that place is they ordered from looks good.

Thanks for reminding me that I should go grab lunch around now. Maybe if the food was better at uni I'd eat more...

It's supposed to be crappy chinese food from Ho Lee Chow in Toronto (a big chain), not that I specify.

Well it reminded me of NYC chinese food which I miss very much :(

Why would Ramona and Scott be eating bad chinese anyway?

WHY DONT THEY EVER EAT REAL FOOD.

NOBODY CARES: IN SHARKNIFE 2 THE GUANGDONG FACTORY SERVES PANCAKES.

The Barnes and Noble near me is talking about a pre-order special.

(unrelated note) I can't wait to see all of the leaked images in context!

Ughhh! Such a tease!
Anyway, I really like Ramona's current style. I never rly liked her hair prior to this style, so I kinda hope it sticks around, atleast for the entire book.

This particular page was before I really got a handle on drawing the hairstyle, but I like it too, so thanks!

I liked it when her hair went like this.

Yay, I was judging based on the cover of VOl.4 and the other pics I've seen as well.
Ofcourse, I wouldn't mind if you felt like changing it since Ramona seems like the kind of character who wouldn't stick to the same kind of outfits or hairstyles too long.

I never had issues with any of the other character's hair tho! I saw in an interview that you said Young Neil's hair makes him look dopey and you didnt like it. I kinda liked that and thought it was intentional. I mean the dopey look kinda fit him as being the younger, more naive and innocent one of the group in my opinion. Well maybe that isn't who he was supposed to be,but that's sorta how I saw the character when I read it. So the dopey look and that particular hairstlye rly fit him!

errr..I think I only paid this much attention to the hair, because of that scene(s) where Scott makes such a big deal about his hair!XD I am the exact same way! "Oh dear god! It's too long isn't it?! I should cut it shouldn't I?!"
"uhh..it looks exactly the same."
"LIAR!" stuff like that. One of the many things I could totally relate to about Scott's character although..I'm not sure..relating to Scott..is a good thing..heh.

The above comment made me chuckle. I also love the way you pretend not to know about stuff. "From page...24...or something like that?" As if you don't know!! I can't wait for this book, seriously, I think the internet is about to combust with waiting. Someone came into the bookshop where I work and commended us for stocking Scott Pilgrim last week. Was I in that day? Was I fuck!

What I'm best at: I don't even know if you and Hope are still in Nova Scotia, but I was at Stange Adventures today, and they had a bunch of volumes of Phoenix marked down to like $10 each! The older, out-of-print ones too!

(You might already have the ones they have, though, I don't rememeber.)

(Also, you might already be in North Carolina?)

We're still here. Cal hooked me up with DAWN (vol 1), the only one I didn't have. Apparently someone sold him the whole set, or whatever.
