The Toronto Comic Arts Festival was this weekend. Thanks to everyone who came, saw, bought books, etc. I apologize if I ever seemed like a crazy person... at times it was very intensely busy, especially on Saturday afternoon.

I do believe that I somehow sold 150+ of the Annotated Pilgrims. The rest of the printing now lives at the Beguiling (39 copies), so go there if you live in the Toronto area and want one.

My artwork was good and plundered, too! Prices have been slashed in anticipation of Vol 4, and I will update the for-sale page on radiomaru.com to reflect that soon.

Anyway, I have to finish this book now, and maybe I'll try not to post very much until it's done.

Whatever happened to the Silver Snail in TO anyway? No one ever talks about that place any more.

Still there! They don't run any festivals, but they were at Anime North.

Dey like dere action figures, dey do.

Hey Bryan, thanks again for coming out to the TCAF. It was a pleasure to meet you and I was so awestruck by your awesomeness that I didn't really say much when we chatted. If anybody wants to see the original art that I picked up and the Ramona sketch that Bryan did for me, check it out here.

Hi there!

Saw you at the TCAF on Sunday (you likely won't remember me, I was there with my sister who I had forced to read the comics through placing them in strategic locations around my house). Thanks for the Scott sketch!

I spoke to you Saturday afternoon, not long before you moved up from the ground foyer to the second floor foyer. You were very coherent, sane and polite. I bought your wife's horse dream book when she returned.

I will now claim this as fan art for me.

It was nice to finally meet you and Hope in person Bryan, You seemed fairly sane, though it might have been a "sane in realtion to the atmosphere of chaos surrounding every-one" kinda sane.
Also, congrats on moving all those pages!

I think you met me at my absolute craziest, so I'm glad I was still able to project an air of sane professionality.

I need a Bryan Lee O'malley page to hang next to my Rob Schrab, Ryan Ottley, Cory Walker, Andy Ristaino and Jim Mahfood pages! Yes, I have a good collection so far and do enjoy a little bragging...especially about the Scud page.

hey dude, I was looking over the annotated Scott Pilgrim I bought, and it occurred to me afterwards that I had partied at the house Ramona lives in the comic the night before.

For extra oddity, the girl who lived there was named Kim.

For the record, the interior? not too much like the comic. It's a lot of small apartments and rooms for rent scattered all over, and inside, there is a thousand bikes near the door.

The one I used for the exterior?
What street is it on, anyway?

I figured it wouldn't be like that inside... the foyer that i used was based on where i used to live, and the upstairs loosely inspired by a girl i knew's apartment, but just kinda jumbled together, and it doesn't really fit with the exterior, sadly.

Its on Baldwin street, conveniently located near an LCBO. I think the tree is gone, though. Unless I'm mistaken!

Please to update the for sale page! I recently went through the first three volumes with post-it notes labeling which ones were for sale and how much they all cost in anticipation of picking a page with the fiance, so it is sad to think I'll have to do that all over again, but exciting to know that with slashed prices we might be able to pick more than one page. Eee!

I did update it yesterday. There are disturbingly few pages left for sale on there, but it's current and the prices are a bit lower.

I think most of the "solds" are up to date, so if there's something you want that is unlisted, please ask.

what?!?!?!
4 is done??!?!?!
and i want one of those "the annotated pilgrim book....i don't live any were near toronto or ontario
so how can i get one???

Is his belt buckle a Confederate flag or a Scottish flag?

I don't know. I drew it in two seconds.

The truth isn't any fun at all.

The Confederate flag has stars, and the Scottish flag doesn't have one cross on top of another (in the British flag, it's a combination of the Scottish X-shaped white cross on blue of St Andrew, and the supposedly Irish X-shaped red cross on white, plus the English +-shaped red cross on white).

It appears to be the flag of Potchefstroom, North West Province, South Africa.

I was really just thinking of Nova Scotia, but it was too little to draw the lion crest thingy. Or maybe I was just thinking of the X-Men.

Hey guy. Good seeing you again.

Hey... sorry I didn't really get to communicate. TCAF is probably always going to be my craziest show...

Ya, good to see you again. Hopefully we can actually get to talk to you for more than 30 seconds someday. Also good to meet Hope finally. I realized afterwards that I never formally introduced myself. ^^;

I saw you outside Sneaky's :O

As I said tehn, it was cool to see you play live, especially since that, due to my hectic work schedule, was all I got to see of TCAF this year.
I'll pretend it was awful and that I missed nothing.
